63 days of walking Athein and Zaw min htwe walked 1720 miles , they are walking 25 or 27 miles a day on I-30 Small High way in Nebraska State . At the moment they are heading to East Nebraska and Iowa border, they will reach on the border in next 3 weeks of walking in this months on May . 1,500 Miles left to walk in next 2 or 3 months till they arrive to New York United Nation security council . They will rest in Iowa State for few days and Join with Iowa Burmese community .
(click the image to see the Larger photo) On August 8, 2008, Athein will present the following petition to the offices of the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-Moon, and the UN Security Council. As the Burmese military junta is preparing to consolidate its power through a new constitution and referendum, it is essential that the international community and the United Nations act to protect the lives and liberty of the Burmese.
