(South-West corner of Nathan Phillips Square)*
Program includes
Award-winning writers Karen Connelly and John Ralston Saul
Senator Nancy Ruth and MP Derek Lee, The Parliamentary Friends of Burma
Olivia Chow, Member of Parliament
U Bo Hla Tint, senior minister of Burmese government in exile
The event begins in front of the Winston Churchill Statue with a participatory display in Aung San Suu Kyi masks (provided with a small donation), then moves into Council Chambers for a film, speakers, and a vote against Burma's referendum.
News of our support will be broadcast inside Burma.
